Police shoot down Otenga to revive automatic promotion hopes

Kenya Police have enhanced their chances of automatic promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League after shooting down Kisumu All Stars twice at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.Police will haved Kelvin Mwaura to thank as his first half brace was enough to condemn the former top flight side to their tenth loss of the season.Following the win, the law enforcers are second with 58 points, ten adrift of FC Talanta who have already booked their place in the senior league and two ahead of third placed Fortune Sacco who were not in action.At the same time, Vihiga Bullets forced their name to the top three bracket after humiliating Gusii 6-0 at the Bukhungu Stadium.The win saw Fortune Sacco drop to fourth on goal difference grounds.The well oiled Bullets opened the scoring through Jackson Oketch who kissed the back of the net in the 13th minute before Kevin Sagida doubled the advantage in the 18th minute.Oketch completed his brace in the 34th minute while Sagida was on the score sheet for the second time in the 55th minute.Vincent Ogola scored the fifth goal while former Vihiga Bullets forward Godfrey Airo put the cake on the icing in the three minutes to the final whistle.Mt. Kenya United bagged their eleventh win of the season after reaping a 1-0 win away to APs Bomet. Eric Mmata was the difference in the match as his 66th minute goal separated the two after the final whistle.Murang’a Seal on the other hand held Migori Youth to a barren draw at the Awendo Green Stadium.
