Kisumu All Stars head coach Salim Babu has rued wastefulness in front of the goal for their 2-0 home loss to Kenya Police on Thursday. All Stars were expected to make light work of the visiting team but were shot down courtesy of Kelvin Mwaura whose first half brace settled the contest.Babu regretted that they created clear cut chances unlike their opponents but were unlucky in front of the goal. The league wining gaffer with Sony Sugar said Police pounced on half chances and locked the game in the second half making it difficult for them to stage a comeback.“We created clear cut chances especially in the first half but we could not convert at least one. I think we were just unlucky not to score as I watched at least seven opportunities go begging. They scored from half chances and locked the game,” he saidDespite the loss which left them fifth with 55 points, the former Wazito coach exuded hope that they will put debutants MCF and Fortune Sacco to the sword in their remaining matches and return to top flight football. He said they will be going for nothing short of maximum points from the two matches which will be staged at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu and follow FC Talanta to the FKF PL. All Stars dropped to the second tier before the season began after losing to Vihiga United in the playoff.“We haven’t lost hope at all for we have two matches at home. I am sure if we collect maximum points then we will finish either number two or go for the playoff. Home advantage will play a big role in our remaining matches,” he added.
