Today’s game against Wolfsburg might be the last one for Leipzig’s captain Marcel Sabitzer. The Austrian midfielder is on a verge of a move to champions Bayern Munich, and the deal is set to complete very soon. In fact, Sabitzer might even finish the job today, and coach Jesse March will have to play the game without him. If would be no problem for the American couch thou, since he started to live without his captain as Bundesliga started weeks ago. New coach, who replaced Julian Nagelsmann, who took over Bayern Munich has left Sabtizer on the bench since Round 1, and decided to go with Szoboszlai, Nkunku and Tyler in the midfield. Also, Leipzig plan to find a replacement for their captain very soon, and the player is coming from Barcelona.Lewandowski bags a triple in Hertha hammering as Leverkusen reach the summit of Bundesliga tableAs the Austrian international informed the club that he want’s to leave before the end of transfer window, Leipzig bosses started to look for replacements. The club is well run and already they had Szoboszlai to start instead of Sabitzer and the Hungarian didn’t disappoint: he scored three times in 107 minutes of competitive football for Leipzig this season. But, a serious club like Leipzig already looked for alternatives and they found Ilaix Moriba, a talented midfielder from Barcelona. As we already know, young Guinean refused a number of contract proposals from Barca, and the club warned him to either extend, or he will be sold. Moriba decided to the other solution, and Leipzig approached first. But, the Germans wanted to give much less than Barca expected, and the negotiations soon finished. Tottenham got involved and agreed to pay 2 billion Ksh for the player, but Moriba apparently changed his mind (again) and informed the club that he wants to sign for Leipzig.(3.05) WOLFSBURG (3.35) LEIPZIG (2.35)It looked as Barca will be forced to leave the young Guinean on the bench for the upcoming season, but then Sabitzer’s former coach came calling, and Leipzig decided to trade with Bayern for the third time this year (remember, they already sold them Upamecano and coach Nagelsmann). It is expected that a 2 billion deal will be announced soon, maybe even today, and Leipzig is expected to invest the money into Barca’s midfielder. Until that happens, Leipzig will try to continue where they left off last week, when they crushed Stuttgart 4-0. Wolfsburg, a Champions League participant should be a much tougher opponent, but hey are winless in five Bundesliga matches against Leipzig, and have won only two of 10 all told. The last four encounters have ended in draws. Leipzig have lost their last four Bundesliga away matches in a row, but are unbeaten in four of their five previous trips to Wolfsburg.BUNDESLIGA – Round 3FridayBorussia Dortmund – Hoffenheim 3-2 (0-0)/Reyna 49, Bellingham 69, Haaland 90+1 – Baumgartner 61, Dabbur 90/SaturdayStuttgart – Freiburg 2-3 (2-3)/Mavropanos 45, Al Ghaddioui 45 – Wee-Yeong 3, 9, Holer 28/Koln – Bochum 2-1 (0-0)/Schaub 82, Lemperle 90 – Zoller 90/Augsburg – Leverkusen 1-4 (1-2)/Niederlechner 30 – Iago 3 og, Niederlechner 14 og, Schick 75, Wirtz 81/Bielefeld – Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 (0-1)/Wimmer 86 – Hauge 22/Mainz – Greuter Furth 3-0 (2-0)/Lucoqui 15, Szalai 18, Stoger 90/Bayern – Hertha 5-0 (2-0)/Muller 6, Lewandowski 35, 70, 84, Musiala 49/Sunday16.30: (2.70) Union Berlin (3.15) M’ gladbach (2.70)18.30: (3.30) Wolfsburg (3.40) RB Leipzig (2.20)***odds are subject to change
