Gor Mahia fail to meet Kahata’s demands

Gor Mahia have ended their pursuit of Francis Kahata after failing the demands the players and his representatives had tabled. The record league champions were keen on beefing up their squad with Kahata who is now available on the Bosman after parting ways with Tanzanian Champions, Simba SC in June. Gor had played for Gor between 2016 and 2019 before heading to Simba.Mozzart Sport understands that the player had demanded Ksh. 2 Million as signing fees and six-month salary upfront. The already cash-strapped Gor Mahia failed to meet his demands and now the deal is off.‘’I have personally spoken to Kahata and his agents and he confirmed he was ready to make a return to Gor. Unfortunately, we were unable to raise what he was demanding hence dropped the talks,’’ Gor Mahia Sporting Director Lordvick Aduda told Citizen Digital.Could Francis Kahata reunite with Gor Mahia?🤔https://t.co/bWXuFEXsEe— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) August 18, 2021 Aduda further stated that the team is already struggling to meet its obligations and cannot afford to overspend.”Our financial muscle is weak and we are very careful how we spend our money. A winning team should be composed of players who are happy and motivated. We need to pay prompt salaries and allowances and this needs proper calculation,” he added. The financial struggles the team has been facing resulted in some departures. Charles Momanyi moved to Tusker, Kenneth Muguna to Azam while Karim Abdoul has been linked with a move to Portugal and Aduda hopes there will be no more departures.”Other than Momanyi, Karim and Muguna, no other player has made his intention known. I want to believe most of them will want to remain at Gor despite the difficulties we are facing. But no situation is permanent. We shall soon be off the hook,’’ he added.Gor Mahia are interested in re-signing Francis Kahata.
