Kenyan midfielder Maqbul Daudi has sealed a move to Swedish side Göta BK who ply their trade in the Division 4 Västergötland South (sixth-tier) for an undisclosed period.The versatile player can be deployed as a right wing-back or as a right-winger while he can also slot into the central midfield and has featured for a number of lower league sides in Kenya.

Göta BK are delighted to have roped in the 18-year-old as they were impressed with his versatility while also highlighting his explosive energy. “We are very happy to present our new acquisition Maqbul Daudi is 18 years old and comes from Kenya with merit from the U17 national team. Maqbul is a strong, explosive and strong player that we think we will be able to use in several positions,” read a statement from the club.Maqbul received a call to the Kenya Under 17 side that participated in the Africa U17 Cup of Nations CECAFA Region Qualifying tournament back in 2018.The midfielder has turned out for Kibra United, Soka Talent and is a Ligi Ndogo Academy graduate with his former club from Kibra wishing him success in his new chapter.
