Vihiga Bullets have edged closer to promotion to the FKF Premier League after their 4-1 win over Mt. Kenya United on Wednesday, a result that saw them leapfrog Kenya Police FC to the second position in the National Super League.The match that was played at the Mumias Sports Complex was one of the rescheduled four league assignments ahead of the final matches of the season that will be played on Sunday. Bullets managed to bounce back to register a win that puts them now on the course for automatic promotion.Elsewhere in Kisumu, Fortune Sacco’s hopes of playing in the FKF Premier League after suffering a 2-0 defeat in the hands of hosts Kisumu AllStars. Alfred Tanui and Kevintom Machika scored the two goals for the hosts in the first half. Coast Stima failed to travel to Migori to play Gusii FC who were awarded the match on a 2-0 scoreline while the already relegated Soy United failed to honour their league assignment against Silibwet Leons. All the teams will be in action over the weekend for the final round of league matches. FC Talanta have already earned a promotion to the FKF Premier League while Vihiga Bullets, Kenya Police FC and Kisumu All-Stars will fight for the second automatic promotion and the playoff spot.
