As Brian Bwire settles at his new club, Tusker FC, his immediate former coach at Kariobangi Sharks, William ‘Kanu’ Muluya admits that it will be a tall order to replace his first choice goalkeeper who also plays for the national team, Harambee Stars.Bwire opted to end his four-year association with Sharks for a taste of CAF Champions League football with the newly crowned league champions. The Kenya U23 custodian is ranked as one of the best in the country and it is no rocket science that the Brewers went for his signature as they continue to rebuild ahead of their return to the continental scene in nine days’ time. As he heads to the Ruaraka based outfit, Muluya admits that he has lost a jewel and that filing his boots will not be a walk in the park. Bwire joined Sharks while he was still a student at football powerhouse, Kakamega High School. ##EDITORS_CHOICE## “The void he’s leaving behind is very big, because for us he has been a four-year project, he has grown from strength to strength and we can only hope that whoever replaces him will fit the bill but he’s definitely a big loss for us,” Muluya stated. The tactician believes that the Brewers have landed a good keeper but adds that his departure is an opportunity for another custodian to take his place. “He has really grown, he has really matured, the confidence is there and I can say that Tusker have really gotten a good goalkeeper. We will miss his services but it’s also an opportunity for me to open my eyes and get another keeper but the shoes we are trying to fill are very big,” he added.Apart from Bwire, Sharks released 11 other players; Robert Onyango, James Mazembe, Joshua Onyango, Daniel Sakari, Saphan Oyugi, Boniface Mwangemi, Ibrahim Ochieng, Ibrahim Kitawi, Peter Lwasa, John Kuol, and Peter Oudu.Matasi eyes redemption after officially rejoining Tusker
