Biashara United forward, Christian Zigah has labeled Kenyan international Joash Onyango as the toughest defender he has ever come up against saying the central defender is ‘unplayable’.Onyango is currently in the books of Simba and Zigah a former Vihiga Bullets attacker has severally come up against the Kenyan international in the Tanzanian league. He said when he faced Joash he used all his tricks to no avail“If you ask me a strong defender I met in the League I will mention Onyango. That man is unplayable. I have faced him and I tried to use all the tactics but still failed to outwit him,” the Ghanaian told Mwanaspoti.According to Zigah, he believed that Onyango was older and thus easy to beat before he came against the former West Kenya, Western Stima and Gor Mahia man who he now believes is more than a defender.See you pic.twitter.com/91pjmHlYGP— Joash_onyango12 (@joashonyango12) August 31, 2021 “I also considered him to be older, so I believed he wouldn’t get the better of me but things turned out completely different, this guy is more than a defender” he added.Onyango has been one of Kenya’s best defenders in recent years and was even part of the Kenya team at the 2019 African Cup of Nations although injury prevented him from featuring in any of the three AFCON Group matches. His good run with the national team earned him a move to Simba in August 2020 and he went on to become a first-choice player where he partners Pascal Wawa at the heart of Simba central defence. He has already won one league title and an FA Cup title. He was also part of the Simba team that reached the quarter-final of the CAF Champions League in 2021.
