Musa Otieno headlines CAF Liscence B course attendees

Kenya Internationals Musa Otieno and Doreen Nabwire, Bidco’s head coach Anthony Akhulia, and Harambee Starlets head coach Charles Okere are some of the beneficiaries of a four-month-long CAF B License course that set off at the Kenya Institute of Special Education today.The course brought together a total of 25 coaches who are holders of CAF C Licenses with more notable names headlining the list including Nairobi City Star’s legend John Amboko, Equity head coach John Baraza, Tusker’s assistant George Maina, Sofapaka Team Manager Hillary Ford Echesa, and former AFC Leopards tactician Anthony Kimani.Also in attendance is Uganda’s Women National Team head coach Faridah Bulega.FKF President Nick Mwendwa has today presided over the opening ceremony of a CAF B License Course, sanctioned by @CAF_Online, for the first time in 10 years.🔗 https://t.co/UIYjHuxOFY pic.twitter.com/sRdH9QFfgb— Football Kenya Federation (@Football_Kenya) September 6, 2021 The opening ceremony of the event was graced by Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa who reiterated the Federations Commitment to coaching education.“We are privileged, as a Federation, to be the only ones to have been offered this opportunity by CAF in the entire region. FKF remains committed to capacity building our trainers, to not only ensure that our players are handled by qualified personnel, but also equip our coaches with the necessary certification to enable them to harness coaching opportunities both at home and abroad,” Mwendwa said.The course will be facilitated by coach Salim Ali, KCB’s Zedekiah Otieno, Leonard Odipo, Twahir Muhiddin, and George Ondula.And the journey continues CAF B Coaching Course underway. pic.twitter.com/0MNF2c9nAD— Godfrey Otieno (@Godfrey02981729) September 6, 2021 Kenyan International Musa Otieno is optimistic that by the end of the course they will have enhanced their knowledge on matters coaching and will share their experiences across.“I am happy to be here. Most of these participants are coaches I have worked with before. I am confident that at the end of the day, we’ll learn new techniques and methodologies, and also share our personal experiences,” the former defender said.This will be the first time that the CAF B course will be taking place in the country for more than 10 years although the Federation has put up a great effort in facilitating CAF D and CAF C courses in recent times, with more than 4000 and 600 coaches respectively receiving their training in those courses.
