Former Gor Mahia midfielder Bernard Ondiek and Jackson Dwang bagged gongs in the Posta Rangers end of season awards following an underwhelming campaign.The biggest winner from the awards was skipper Suleiman Osman Ngotho who walked home with two individual awards after marshalling the backline with experience. Jackson Dwang was awarded the Best Player of the Season award after bagging five goals in the just-concluded season, finishing as the club’s joint top-scorer alongside Francis Nambute. Kevin Opiyo who won the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) March player of the month was crowned the Best Goalkeeper last season.Ngotho who was immense to the club as they managed 12 clean sheets all season with their defence being one of the main reasons why they survived relegation last campaign won the Defender of the Season. The towering centre back also bagged the Most Disciplined player of the Season, justifying his installation as the club’s captain. Mid-season transfer signing Bernard Ondiek who shocked many when he made the switch from Gor Mahia bagged the Discovery of the Season award, beating Kevin Ouma and Joshua Nyatini to the award.Nyatini who joined the club from Wazito FC was the Young Talent of the season after an impressive campaign that saw him rediscover his form after a tough spell with the money bags.Defender Kevin Ouma who has been linked with a move to Gor Mahia won the Most Promising Player after forming a formidable partnership with Suleiman Ngotho.
