Oporia likely to miss new season to concentrate on studies

Despite having offers, former Posta Rangers winger George Oporia says there is a possibility of skipping the forthcoming Football Kenya Federation Premier League season as he seeks to concentrate on his studies.Oporia has been a free agent since February after he was deemed surplus to requirement at Posta Rangers following the change of guard at the club which saw former Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi succeed Sammy Pamzo Omollo at the helm.He was released alongside a host of experienced players as Okumbi elected to blend the squad with budding players whom he has a high affinity for.I will be back next season says OporiaThe attacking midfielder is understood to be under the radar of Bidco United, FC Talanta as well as Rangers who want to rope him in their ranks again for a second spell but he says he is likely not to consider any offer. The former Ushuru man revealed that he was focused on his Bachelor of Commerce studies at Strathmore University, a course he noted required maximum concentration and studying full time unlike other courses that can be taken in evening and weekend lectures.90+1’| SubOut: Ezekiel OkareIn: Bill OporiaScores: @nzoiasugarfc2 1️⃣-1️⃣ @posta_rangers#BKPL pic.twitter.com/dYAp5VbFCM— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) December 19, 2020 “There is a big possibility of me watching football from the stands in the new season.
