Two favorites for the Bundesliga crown clash brought a lot, with more than just the quality of football. Former RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann came with his Bayern Munich side to the east of Germany for the first time. Also, Leipzig saw their former captain Marcel Sabitzer and ex-centre-back Dayot Upamecano in a different shirt. Unfortunately, the Red Bull sponsored club had to make their peace with another loss against the mighty Bavarians. Final score 1-4.Leipzig fans hoped their side could defeat the title-holders. But it did not start well for the home team. As soon as the 12th minute, Munich squad were up front. Referee Deniz Aytekin took a look at a potential handball from Kevin Kampl in the Bayern penalty area and after a VAR check, the ball was taken to the spot. It was a great strike from Robert Lewandowski, low into the right of the net, giving goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi no chance.Lewandowski has now scored in his 14th Bundesliga match in a row. Only once has there been an even longer run in Bundesliga history and it was, of course, Gerd Müller who scored in 16 Bundesliga matches in a row between 1969 and 1970.The teams both wanted to score as soon as possible, Bayern to double the lead, Leipzig to get back in the game. In the 22nd minute, Kampl found himself in a promising position. He ran towards the goal and unleashed a shot from just outside the penalty area which went towards the middle of the goal, but Manuel Neuer was ready and made a decent save. Dani Olmo also tried a minute later but his attempt was to strong and the ball went high over the bar.Haaland scores twice in a seven goal thriller in LeverkusenBayern replied in the 27th minute via Leroy Sane – German winger let one fly with a decent effort from the edge of the box but it flashed just wide of the right post.Bulls were close to scoring again in the 37th minute – Konrad Laimer attempted to head the rebound inside the left post, but Neuer read his intention and made an incredible reflex save. The dominating force of German football saw themselves with a two-goal advantage in the 47th minute. Alphonso Davies sent a precise cross into the box and Jamal Musiala was on the receiving end of it to put the ball into the bottom right corner.RB Leipzig had a disallowed goal shortly after, due to offside positioning of Andre Silva. And to make it all worse for the home team, Bayern followed with their third goal.Sane wonderfully timed his run onto a cross and caught the ball from deep inside the box into the left side of the net. Assist came from the incredible Musiala.Leipzig were down on their luck but found a way to score as a response to Bayern’s third. Laimer neatly controlled a decent pass from Kampl – Laimer then looked up and smashed an unstoppable drive into the top right corner from the edge of the box.Even though Leipzig scored, the intensity died down. Will of the home team was there but the left side scoreboard remained the same. Christopher Nkunku tried with a free kick shot from around 30 metres out but his shot went just over the crossbar. Szoboszlai and Poulsen followed but could not place the ball behind Neuer. In the 88th minute, ex-Red Bull Sabitzer received a killer pass, but his shot from the six-yard box was a disaster. He miskicked and made it very easy for Gulacsi to get hold of the ball.Bayern welcomed the full time whistle with their fourth goal. To bring the match to an end, Cameroonian striker did his job perfectly – superb finishing from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Joshua Kimmich played a fantastic through ball and found Choupo-Moting, who reacted quickly to get in front of the goalkeeper and fire a close-range shot into the right side of the goal. With Wolfsburg being the only team to win all four Bundesliga matches so far, Bayern will have deal with being second at the moment. Not something they are used to.BUNDESLIGA – ROUND 4SaturdayFreiburg – Koln 1-1 (0-1)/Czichos (og) 89- Modeste 33/Hoffenheim – Mainz 0-2 (0-1)/Burkardt 21, Ingvartsen 77/Union Berlin- Augsburg 0-0Greuther Furth – Wolfsburg 0-2 (0-1)/Nmecha 10, Werghorst 90/Leverkusen – Borussia 3-4 (2-1)/Wirtz 9, Schick 45-2, Diaby 55 – Haaland 37, 77, Brandt 49, Guerreiro 71/RB Leipzig – Bayern 1-4 (0-1)/Laimer 58′ – Lewandowski 12′ pen, Musiala 47′, Sane 54′, Choupo-Moting 90+2’/Sunday16:30: Eintr.Frankfurt – Stuttgart18:30: Bochum – Hertha20:30: M’ gladbach – Bielefeld
