It is never easy against Leicester – Guardiola and Silva take all three points to Manchester

In the battle of two Citys, reigning champions of Premier League managed to snatch all three points from King Power Stadium in Leicester. Citizens of Manchester won a match that was a hard fought battle – final score 0-1.Home team opened up the match better. Two half chances in the span of three minutes. First it was James Maddison in the 9th minute – he connected with a pass inside the box and perhaps should have done better than direct his shot straight at Ederson. Then in the 12th minute Jannik Vestergaard tried – a corner kick found him unmarked in the box with the goal at his mercy, but somehow he mistimed his header and sent the ball just over the bar.Manchester City looked confused by Leicester pressing in the opening minutes but slowly got their grip on the game. Jack Grealish blew a huge opportunity after receiving a cross from the free kick in the 22nd minute. He took a shot from just outside of the box, but the ball went narrowly over the crossbar. Finally – Arsenal score and Arsenal win in the Premier League!Even though Leicester never stood for an easy opponent for Pep Guardiola and his men, Man City continued overshadowing the Foxes. In the 29th minute Ferran Torres caught a precise pass and had a one-on-one with the keeper. But Kasper Schmeichel was alert, though, and made an easy save to deny the Spaniard’s attempt.Just before the half-time whistle Danish goalkeeper made another save – the shot on goal was sent by Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.Jamie Vardy managed to send the ball behind Ederson and into the net in the 49th minute but the score remained nil-nil as Leicester striker was offside when the ball was sent towards him. Minute prior Harvey Barnes also had an opportunity to bring the lead for Leicester but was not accurate enough. After a period of Leicester’s pressing, Torres had a chance to score for Man City in the 56th minute. The Spaniard nicely turned his man inside the box but placed his effort just wide of the right post.It would have been a pity to see the match without a goal. And the guests scored in the 62nd minute – a rebound fell to Bernardo Silva and he fired home from close range.Man City could have doubled their lead via Kyle Walker in the 73rd minute – Citizen’s right back had a lot of space around him and fired a terrific shot from the edge of the box towards the top of the net, but Schmeichel made a brilliant save.Hosts responded five minutes later – new Foxes member Ademola Lookman ripped a shot goalwards as he received a precise pass deep inside the box, but Ederson pulled off an amazing save.It was obvious that introducing Lookman and Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho brought the much needed attacking energy for the Foxes but Man City’s defence managed to keep Ederson out of trouble.Lookman tried again in the 87th minute but was blocked just in time by one of the defenders. All that focus of the Foxes could have costed them dearly as Fernandinho was close to scoring the second goal for Man City in the 92nd minute. Luckily for Brendan Rogers’ team – the ball went just wide.Referee Paul Tierney sounded the final whistle and left no time for the home team to try and at least equalise the score. Guardiola’s men leave Leicester satisfied but heavily tested against ever-tricky Leicester City.PREMIER LEAGUE – ROUND 4SaturdayCrystal Palace – Tottenham 3-0 (0-0)/Zaha 75 pen, Edouard 84, 90+3/Leicester – Man City 0-1 (0-0)/Silva 62’/Southampton – West Ham 0-0Man Utd – Newcastle 4-1 (1-0)/Ronaldo 45+2′, 62′, Fernandes 80′, Lingard 90+2′ – Manquillo 56’/Watford – Wolverhampton 0-2 (0-0)/Sierralta 74′ og, Hee Chan 83’/Arsenal – Norwich 1-0 (0-0)/Aubameyang 69’/Brentford – Brighton 0-1 (0-0)/Trossard 90’/19.30: (1.35) Chelsea (4.90) Aston Villa (9.50)Sunday18.30: (4.70) Leeds (3.70) Liverpool (1.75)Monday22.00: (1.80) Everton (3.50) Burnley (4.70)***odds are subject to change
