Kenyan international Masud Juma got his Moroccan Botola Pro campaign off to a flyer as he bagged the match-winner in Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi’s 1-0 win over Olympic Safi. The match came barely six days after the forward featured in Harambee Stars 1-1 draw against Rwanda in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and was involved in Michael Olunga’s goal.Difaa were off to a perfect start in the 2021-2022 season after flirting with relegation last season and secured their status in the league in the final three games of the season. The win sees Difaa assume early leadership in the Moroccan league with African giants Raja Casablanca also winning their opening game in the two Friday fixtures.Masud opened the scoring in the 62nd minute when Zakaria Hadraf hit a pass across the face of goal as the former Kariobangi Sharks forward tapped home with the simplest of finishes. The 25-year-old capped off the goal with a wonderful celebration as he took off his shin pads that had photos of his family and flaunted them in front of the camera. The forward will look to better his seven-goal tally he managed for Difaa last season after joining the club in the January transfer window from Algerian side JS Kabylie.Difaa next face Hassania Agadir on Saturday 18 September.
