New FKF Premier League season to kick-off in ten days

The dates for the new 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) have been announced.After a grueling and most challenging season yet that saw Tusker FC end Gor Mahia’s four-year league dominance to clinch a 12th league title in the 2020/2021 campaign that ended on 22nd August, footballing action is set to resume in under two weeks.🏆| Champions!!!!Tusker FC are officially FKF PL championsCongratulations @tusker_fc#TuskerVsBidco#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/d314fK8vRt— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) August 22, 2021 At the end of season FKPPL Awards Gala held at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on Tuesday evening, Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa revealed that the new season is scheduled to commence on the 25th of this month.“In two weeks, on Saturday 25th September we are up again. We are working to get back to a more regular-season because injuries were a major problem due to the fixture congestion witnessed in the ended season where we had challenges posed by Covid-19. So until the government says we can do it, we have to wait.
