Vihiga Bullets defender Potipher Onyango has crowned his remarkable season in the National Super League (NSL) with a well deserved Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the 2020/2021 season.The Harambee Stars U23 central defender was an ever-present in Bullets’ backline that saw the Vihiga side earn automatic promotion to the top tier Football Kenya Federation Premier League for a first time in their history after finishing in second place behind Talanta. This was Kenyatta’s first season in charge at Talanta and it ended with him guiding Talanta to the 2020/2021 NSL title.The team of the year award also went to Talanta who achieved their biggest feat in their sixth attempt since being established in 2012. Bullets and Kenya Police came second and third respectively.The Golden Glove award went to Bonphas Munyasa from APS Bomet. The goalkeeper kept a league-high fifteen clean sheets to scoop the award. Kenya United and Sofapaka player Cornelius Juma walked home with the Golden Boot gong after plundering 16 goals in the second tier league season.The Young player of the year was awarded to Alfred Tanui from Kisumu All Stars. Alfred beat competition from his teammate Alvin Ochieng and Brian Michira (Shabana FC) to lift the enterprising award.Fair play Team of the Year went to Kibera Black Stars
