Kamura finally dumps AFC Leopards

AFC Leopards wantaway defender Robinson Kamura is set to join KCB after reaching an agreement with last season’s league runner-up over a transfer to the fast-rebuilding outfit.Kamura was stripped off the captaincy and frozen out of the team by coach Patrick Aussems towards the end of last season under unclear circumstances and neither the club nor the coach has cared to explain the scenario that led to the unprecedented unfoldings that led to the player forcing his way out of the club that’s already serving a transfer embargo. The player has now decided to continue with his playing career at KCB and will sign for the Zedekiah Otieno coached team once he gets his release letter from Ingwe. He has already informed the club that he is leaving and has requested for his release letter to enable him to complete his transfer to the Bankers.Robinson Kamura will NOT join Gor Mahia. A paying FKF Premier League side is interested in his services.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/bmYrYAr3PQ— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) September 16, 2021 Despite having the best defense in the league last season, coach Zico was keen on strengthening his backline after several injuries forced him to work with different pairings at the heart of defense last season.”Kamura to KCB is a done deal, everything has been agreed on and it’s just a matter of him being released by AFC Leopards formally before his transfer can be completed. He is an experienced, quality player who will definitely improve our team. We are going for the title next season and as such we have to have a strong, competitive squad with good depth and players like Kamura make us better,” a source from the Bankers camp told Mozzart Sport.KCB has so far signed three other players; James Mazembe, David Okello, and Mohamed Kilume. They have also been linked with Francis Kahata and are also searching for an extra striker.##EDITORS_CHOICE##
