Tusker FC forward Boniface Muchiri is upbeat ahead of two big games against two footballing giants in the country, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards. The Brewers are set to play Gor Mahia in the Super Cup on Wednesday in a clash of the champions as K’Ogalo won the FKF Cup before hosting AFC Leopards in their season opener on Sunday, a fixture that kick-started the previous season with Ingwe winning in that tie.Muchiri noted that they will approach these games, and other games in the league as well, the same way they did to matches in the last campaign, focusing on each game at a time and playing in every match as if it is a final.”They are two tough games and it will depend on how we prepare ahead of these games. Every day, we are always ready for every game and play it like a final, and that is something that helped us last season. So we are ready and we will prepare well so that we win every match. If we get a results that favors us after every match it gives us the upper hand ahead of the next game,” Muchiri told Mozzart Sport.Lion Robert Matano has his final talks with Boniface Muchiri before sending him out for the 2019/20 PL opener against Gor Mahia in Kisumu.Muchiri would score twice as Tusker fell 5-2.#footke pic.twitter.com/5DT0AdpuMl— Footballers Of Our Time (@TransferMarktEA) July 13, 2021 The former Nzoia Sugar player also lauded the new additions to the team ahead of the new season, saying that they are a blessing to the team and they will all work together to contribute to the success of Tusker FC.”It is a blessing to have such players joining us at Tusker. We welcome them to Tusker and hope they feel at home. they are good players and we are helping each other so that we get the best out of each other and ensure that tusker continues being at the top,” he noted. At a personal level, Muchiri expressed his delight at being fit and ready to go ahead of the new season and is hoping to take off from the start unlike in the previous season where his performance grew gradually.📽️| Boniface Muchiri’s goal that handed us maximum points against Ulinzi Stars.💪| His first goal of the season. That’s why my performance for the season was that gradual. When you are sidelined for such a long time, you cannot come back to the same person and you have to build on your performance gradually. At the moment I am happy, I am enjoying myself. I leave the field happy after giving 100 percent. I have not yet set my targets for the new season but between now and then I will have called myself for a meeting to decide on what I want to achieve.” he concluded. ##EDITORS_CHOICE##
