Tusker’s new Tanzanian signing Ibrahim Joshua is a confident man. Barely one month since joining the reigning Football Kenya Federation Champions, the striker has already set his targets on claiming the top scorer award come the end of the 2021/2022 season. If his start to life under Robert Matano is anything to go by, then his lofty targets may well just be a matter of time before full realization. Since signing, Ibrahim has scored in all three games he has featured in, helping the Brewers to the second round of the CAF Champions League where they will take on Egyptian side Zamalek and their first cup triumph of the season after beating Gor Mahia 8-7 on post-match penalties to clinch the 2021 Football Kenya Federation Super Cup.⚽️⚽️⚽️| Three games, three goals. Before signing for Tusker, the striker scored 21 goals in 19 games across all competitions during his time at Tanzanian side Ken Gold, an achievement he believes he can better during his stay at the twelve time champions“What I love doing so much as a striker is scoring to help my team record positive results on the pitch. I’m grateful that in three games I have scored consecutively in all those games. Where I came from I managed twenty one goals and I understand the top scorer here had twenty four goals. I know that is a target I can achieve as a striker,” Ibrahim told Mozzart Sport.Over the weekend, Ibrahim will kickstart the journey to claiming the top scorer award as the 2021/2022 football season officially gets underway.
