Sakari delighted to secure maiden career trophy with Tusker

It took just three games for Daniel Sakari to win the maiden trophy of his senior career after signing for Tusker FC earlier on in September with the feat leaving him ecstatic. The Brewers got their season underway with a flyer after edging Gor Mahia 8-7 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regular time in a game that was filled with drama.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Sakari could not hide his joy as he lifted the first trophy of his senior career after three barren years with Kakamega Homeboyz and Kariobangi Sharks.Check out the 🎥Match highlights of the FKF Super Cup fixture between @tusker_fc vs @OfficialGMFC👉https://t.co/eM2m91x9nsCourtesy of @StarTimesKE— Football Kenya Federation (@Football_Kenya) September 22, 2021 “This is my first trophy in my senior career and I feel very happy because I also scored my penalty, and I feel involved because when I achieve something also the team does so,”“I am happy to win a trophy just in my third game at Tusker, it means that if we continue putting in the hard work we can get more trophies in future,” said Sakari. Sakari was a second-half substitute brought in with the likes of Humphrey Mieno, Jackson Macharia and Ibrahim Joshua to turn the screw after Gor Mahia went down to 10 men following Harun Shakava’s red card. 📽️| Highlights One: The goals from the regular 90 minutes.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/yTgm965QIl— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) September 22, 2021 With just three games under his belt at Tusker and having picked up a winners medal, Sakari was delighted to help the Brewers lift the Super Cup after converting his penalty. “It really matters a lot joining Tusker and winning a cup so early because I joined a side that we champions and we the new signings have to add something to the team,”“A number of players were brought in the second half because they were a man down and we wanted to get the second goal and avoid penalties,” added Sakari.
