Kenyan international Francis Kahata has joined the list of players signing for Ethiopian outfits after completing his move to Sidama Coffee Sporting Club.The former Gor Mahia midfielder has been a free agent since parting ways with Tanzanian heavyweights Simba back in June after running down his contract. Speaking to Mozzart Sport, a source close to Kahata revealed that the player had other offers from Zambia and Egypt but settled on Sidama due to their relentless pursuit. They wanted the player and were very cooperative during the negotiations. The club has the South Castle Cup under their belt which they clinched back in 2016 and finished in ninth place last season in the Ethiopian Premier League. Ethiopia has recently exploited the Kenyan market with Patrick Matasi signing for St.George after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
