Former Gor Mahia winger Clifton Miheso is among the 12 players who turned up at the Non-contracted players selection project organized by Kenyan Footballers Welfare Association (Kefwa) today, a clear indication that he is over K’Ogalo. The project is aimed at giving players who have played from the National Super League onwards and are not contracted with a team because of one reason or another the chance to train and keep fit while developing holistically before they get contacted elsewhere.Miheso stopped training with the club in August and even missed the last three games for Gor Mahia after his contract lapsed. The player revealed in an interview with Daily Nation back then revealed that the club owes him money both in salaries and signing fees which made a contract renewal very difficult for him.Gor Mahia are set to part ways with Clifton Miheso days after they lost Kenneth Muguna to Tanzania’s Azam FC.— felix asoha (@felix_asoha) August 6, 2021 Miheso was rumored to have received offers from both local and foreign clubs, with sources close to the player hinting to Mozzart Sport that the Kenyan international was likely to return to the Zambian Premier League for a second stint or sign with an unspecified Ethiopian club. The former AFC Leopards player urged his fellow players who are without contracts to consider giving the program a chance to keep fit before they make a return to competitive football.”I think the program today has been very good.
