Zoo FC will be part of the National Super League (NSL) next season, a communique by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed. The team was axed from the FKFPL early last season by the FIFA Discplinary Committee over alleged involvement in match fixing. The ruling stated that the team would be relagated to the Division One league, which is the third-tier in Kenyan football hierachy. However that was on oversight by FIFA as the intention was to relagate the team to the next level down, which is the National Super League (NSL). Zoo FC through its lawyers sought clarification on the matter from FIFA and this has since been clarified. Zoo FC expelled from FKFPLAt the same time four teams have rebranded ahead of the new season. Modern Coast has been changed its name Mombasa Elite FC, Coast Stima to Coastal Heroes FC, Western Stima is now Kisumu United FC while Mt. Kenya United will now officially be reffered to as Dandora Love FC after change of ownership. The first three changes are due to the loss of sponsorship.
