Coming into the final, the Joseph Mwanza-coached Ulinzi beat Kisumu All Starlets 4-2 on their own turf while Boniface Nyamunyamu’s Vihiga picked a 3-0 victory against Kayole Starlets. “Vihiga are in superb form ccoming off the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal qualifiers but that is not to say we cannot match them pound for pound. We are in a good place too and are ready to fight,” said Starlets’ assistant captain Emily Auma.
