Nzoia Sugar winger Felicien Okanda is looking to start off his season with a couple of assists when they face Sofapaka in a fortnight at the Sudi Stadium. The Congolese player missed their opening fixture against Ulinzi Stars a week ago due to illness but has since recovered and is hoping to resume training.The sugar millers opened the new season on the wrong footing as they bowed 1-0 to the soldiers at the Nakuru ASK grounds and will be hoping to register their first win against the 2009 league champions who saw off Nairobi City Stars 3-1 in their opener.Okanda revealed that he was looking to join his teammates in training next weekend with an eye for polishing his instincts of creating chances to the forwards and make the light work of the visiting team.EXCLUSIVE: How Okanda revived his football career at the Kakuma refugee camp“I missed our first game due to Malaria but I have since recovered although I am still weak. The speedster who vowed to help fill the void left by Hillary Simiyu who decamped to Ulinzi further said he was looking to fire the club to better their last season results.Nzoia lost Simiyu to the barracks leaving them with a huge gap in their forward line as the latter netted nine times since arriving at the club in February.”I pray that injuries will stay away from me this season.
