Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker squared off in the main event of UFC Vegas 38 live from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday October 2, which made it Sunday October 3 in the UK and Australia. The contest featured former light heavyweight title challenger and No. 5 ranked contender up against the division’s No. 10 ranked competitor.
The scheduled for five rounds matchup went a full distance. In the end all three judges scored the fight 48-47 in favor of Santos, who took the win by unanimous decision.
Santos entered the Octagon with three defeats in a row. With the win against Walker he rebounds and updates his record to 22-9.
Walker made his appearance inside the MMA cage for the first time in over a year. He drops to 18-6.
