Vihiga Queens turn focus to CAF Champions League after FKF Cup loss

Vihiga Queens coach Boniface Nyamunyamu has blamed luck on the loss to Ulinzi Starlets in the final of the inaugural Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women’s Cup.The CECAFA region champions put up a spirited fight but still fell 2-1 to Ulinzi Starlets who were making their maiden appearance in the top flight women league.According to the coach, despite dominating play in the game, they still lost because they did not have luck, but Ulinzi did.”The game was good and the best team won. When you get to the final, there must be a winner at the end of the day. Luck was on Ulinzi’s side and that is why they won. We dominated play but luck was not on our side,” Nyamunyamu said.FULL TIME..Ulinzi Starlets 2:1 Vihiga Queens Football Club We live to fight another day.FOCUS now shifts to the upcoming CAF Women’s Clubs Champions League💪💪#VihigaQueens#LegacyMakers pic.twitter.com/dKZVzi0y5r— Vihiga Queens FC (@Vihigaqueens) October 2, 2021 However, Nyamunyamu continued to add that they had taken positives from the game and that they would work on their weak areas before they fly out to Egypt in about a month’s time for continental duty.”The common thing with football is that you learn from your mistakes.
