A new date for a highly anticipated world championship bout between Johnny “Swift” Smith and Lee Sung-hyun has been locked in. The WKN welterweight title bout, headlining “Knockdown Lockdown” at Stormont Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is official for Saturday, November 27.
The pair was initially set to square off on September 12. The travel restrictions caused by COVID made it impossible for the South Korean kickboxer to reach the Northern Ireland’s shores. Instead, on the scheduled fight date, the promoter Billy Murray held a successful “Fight Club” event, while “Swift” Smith’s journey for the WKN Gold was postponed.
Check out the video up top with the message from Northern Ireland’s contender, as well as from his opponent from South Korea.
