Kakamega Homeboyz have completed the signing of keeper Steven Odhiambo from Western Stima, Mozzart Sport can confirm. The custodian becomes Homeboyz’s last signing of the window as the club was looking to beef up the department after narrowly missing out on Mustafa Oduor who left Vihiga United for Wazito FC.“We are now done with transfers, Steve joins us from Western Stima and I can confirm that we will not be bringing in more players. He has been training with us for a couple of days and he has shown that he is a quality goalkeeper. I now have four top keepers who will compete for the starting position and for me that is healthy for the team,” Coach Bernard Mwalala told Mozzart Sport.##NAJAVA_MECA_5876786##Odhiambo, who was on his third stint with Western Stima has previously turned out for Posta Rangers and Wazito FC .He becomes the latest player to join Mwalala’s side. Other new players at the club include Michael Karamor from Western Stima as well, Yema Mwana from Bandari, Elix Otieno from Shabana FC, Enock Masinza from Green Commandos, Eric Ambunya from Tusker, Portipher Odhambo from Vihiga Bullets, and Sunday Mutuku who returns to the club from Ethiopia’s Sidana Coffee. FIFA slaps another transfer ban on serial defaulters Gor MahiaHomeboyz now shift focus to preparing for the resumption of the league.“As I said earlier, we struggled in front of goal against Kenya Police and that is something that we have been working on in training. We played against Kisumu All-Stars last week and I noted positives in that game because we scored five goals and I could see that players were fighting to take the chances we were creating, as a coach, that is satisfying because our league is tight and we have to make the most out of the few opportunities we create,” he said.“We have one more friendly match lined up, we are trying to get another lower-tier team for a match on Friday and after that, we will now focus on our normal team training as we wait for the league to resume,” he added.##EDITORS_CHOICE##
