Ulinzi Stars boosted by return of midfielder

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Ulinzi Stars have been handed a shot in the arm after midfield general Daniel Waweru Njoroge is set to link up with the squad after completing his military duties.After starting out with the team in the concluded 2020/2021 campaign, the midfielder was forced to miss a large part of the season due to military deployments. However, after completing those duties the set piece specialist is expected to add to the numbers at the military side for the 2021/2022 campaign.“Midfield maestro, Daniel ‘Wamdetch Kuna’ Waweru Njoroge is back after missing a better part of last season while attending military duties. The king of assist and deadball specialist is a good addition to our squad for the season 2021/22,” the club announced in a post on its social media platforms.In the current campaign, Ulinzi got off to the perfect start after a solitary Mark Bikokwa converted penalty ensured all three points for the soldiers who are among only seven teams that managed to win on the opening day of the new season.With the league on a break due to the FIFA international window, Waweru will have to wait until next week to get a feel of the league action where Ulinzi welcome Mathare United in their second match.Currently, Ulinzi sit joint top of the log as they are tied with six other teams on three points.
