Newcastle can invest 30 billion Ksh without breaking financial rules. Staveley: “We can be as big as PSG”

Not only that Newcastle United became the most richest football club in the world, but their fans can expect an investment of over 30 billion Ksh in the next three years, without braking any Financial Fair Play rules. And the future Toon chairman Amanda Staveley says that the club aims to win the Premier League in the next 5-10 years. Can it get any better than this for the Newcastle faithful?IT IS DONE! We have the undisputed wealthiest football club in the worldBut, the ironic thing about this fact is that only because the not so popular (to say at least) owner Mike Ashley this will be possible. Financial experts are saying that from the financial point of view, Ashley has been a great owner. The new owners will have to comply with FFP rules, which limit losses over a three-year period to 16 billion. However, analysts believe that Newcastle will actually be in a position to spend at least twice that sum between now and the end of the 2023-24 season because the current owner Mike Ashley will leave the club in a strong financial position.“For all that is wrong with Mike Ashley, I would love to be buying a club from him. Premier League rivals are petrified. The other big clubs all want to get into the Champions League, and six into four doesn’t go. Seven into four is even harder” football finance expert Kieran Maguire told Sportsmail.Whilst Mike Ashley is not popular In Newcastle, his legacy for new owners is a profitable club. In last 3 yrs profit £38m, factor in FFP adjustments for academy etc of about £50m & this means the new owners have an allowable FFP loss of £105m plus £88m= £190m+ to play with #NUFC pic.twitter.com/IPSMzn3p22— PriceOfFootball (@KieranMaguire) October 7, 2021 Maguire also points out that Newcastle have turned a profit in the past three years of 5.7 billion Ksh and Maguire says that expands their FFP envelope. And, the substantial money will come from sponsors too, since Ashley was sponsoring his own firms and made an income of only 4.2 billion in 2007. In 2019, the income was the same, and one can only expect that all bigger Saudi Arabia firms will jump at the chance to advertise in the Premier League. And with all that comes stadium rights, new shirt sponsors etc.17.10 (3.60) NEWCASTLE (3.50) TOTTENHAM (2.15)And soon to be Newcastle director Amanda Staveley made no doubts when it comes to club’s ambitions.“Of course we have the same ambitions as Manchester City and PSG in terms of trophies, absolutely, but that will take time. Do we want to win the Premier League within five to 10 years? Yes. This takeover is hugely transformative. We want to see trophies. But trophies need investment, time, patience and team work” said Staveley.WE HAVE GOT OUR NEWCASTLE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB BACK!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉pic.twitter.com/sjIjCGHi1C— ToonArmy (@toonarmy_com) October 7, 2021 In comparison, Manchester City finished 10th in the Premier League in the first season of Mansour’s ownership, then fifth and third, before winning the Premier League, and experts point out that Newcastle is in better shape than City, when they were bought, and expect that the club should challenge for the Champions League in the next four years. And what about Mike Ashley? The much hated owner always stated that he will only sell to a bidder that can development the club even further, and now, he gave a statement to his favorite newspapers, The Sun:“I would like it to be known that I received a higher offer for the club than the one that I accepted. It was from another reputable bidder, who made a credible case. But I felt the bid that we accepted from the current new owners would deliver the best for Newcastle United. Money wasn’t my only consideration” said Ashley.
