Former Harambee Stars defender Lawrence Olum became the first inductee to the Missouri Baptist University (MBU) men’s soccer program as three former sports stars were also feted in the gala. Red carpet interviews begin at 5:30 on https://t.co/y2AZRapImc! #SpartanUp pic.twitter.com/cG3j8cOOo8— Missouri Baptist Athletics (@MBUAthletics) October 7, 2021 The glamorous event took place on Thursday 7 October and was the 27th annual MBU Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet to be hosted since the inception of the gong.Gavlick, Lukasek, Olum and Zeuschel have increased the number of individuals in the Spartan Athletics Hall of Fame to 64.Being the first inductee from the MBU men’s soccer program, Olum brings the total number of teams represented in the Hall of Fame to 14.To date, the former Sporting Kansas City defender is the most decorated athlete in MBU Men’s Soccer program history having featured for Harambee Stars four times in back to back encounters against Comoros, Zambia and Lesotho in 2014 and 2015.
