AFC Leopards are set to sign former Vihiga United goalkeeper Morgan Alube to beef up their badly depleted goalkeeping department.Ingwe currently have youngster Maxwell Mulili to bank on after they lost three first-team keepers. Benjamin Ochan moved to KCCA, Ezekiel Owade joined Bidco United while John Oyemba is said to have moved to Norway.Mulili starred in goal against Tusker FC in the league opener against Tusker FC two weeks ago as Ingwe surprised many when they pulled a surprise 1-0 win over the reigning league champions at the Thika Sub County Stadium. Many of Ingwe problems were down to financial issues that led to the team losing 16 players who were with the team last season. The team was also dealing with a transfer embargo that had been slapped on the team by FIFA for failing to pay their former players and coach. They have since raised the required money through a fundraiser and the ban will soon be lifted. Our young man from Shinyalu is happy#OursForever pic.twitter.com/8FPg6NFP7n— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) October 2, 2021 The team has identified several transfer targets and among them is Alube who is currently unattached after he terminated his contract even before the conclusion of the 2020/21 FKF Premier League campaign.“We understand that Alube is heading to Ingwe.
