Posta Rangers midfielder Michael Apudo believes the team will bag their maiden Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup this season after beefing up their squad with experienced lads.The Mailmen are yet to bag the Cup of Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) but have come close, finishing as runners up in the 2014 and 2008 edition.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Apudo who was converted into a midfielder by head coach Stanley Okumbi is hoping they can better their quarter-final exit at the hands of AFC Leopards in the cup to finally win it.this boys are just marvelous to watch pic.twitter.com/AVFftXxP1j— PostaRangersFC (@PostaRangersFC) April 26, 2017 “The players are motivated the signings have been good, there are some players like (Brain) Marita who won the league, this season we have set our sights on winning the FKF Cup and finishing in the top five,”“The signings show that we are serious this season and they have filled positions that we were not good at last season, we were last eliminated by AFC Leopards in the quarters and we were not that bad,” said Apudo.Posta have roped in the services of former AFC Leopards midfielder Brian Marita, former Wazito midfielder Victor Ndinya and Timothy Otieno from Sofapaka among other signings.Apudo added that the team has been maximising the 18-day league break by playing friendlies to sharpen their attack and enhance their team chemistry. “We have played like six friendlies during the break, we want the team jell and in our first game the players were still not used to playing together,”“We have been working on our finishing because last season we had a number of draws but with the new signings this is bound to change,” added Apudo.
