Will Ramos ever debut for PSG? Another delay does not frighten Pochettino

Earlier in the week, it looked as if Sergio Ramos will finally make his debut for Paris Saint-Germain. However, delays keep on coming – new reports indicate he is further away from his first appearance for the Saints. The stage was set for Ramos’ debut in French football, as PSG welcome Angers on Friday. The fact that the game is coming so soon after the international break sounded even more encouraging. But, it appears that the Spaniard has yet to play a full part in training and will not play against Angers. Nor against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on October 19, making the fans even more anxious.##NAJAVA_MECA_5890977##Le Parisien reported on Monday that the experienced defender was expected to be part of the PSG squad for the game against Angers – however on Wednesday the same outlet revealed that the 35-year-old is still training individually.”Sergio Ramos has recovered, but he will not play on Friday,” claimed Juanfe Sanz, Spanish sports reporter, appearing on El Chiringuito show.”He’s got the all-clear from the medical staff, but after such a long time out, neither the player nor the coach [Mauricio Pochettino] want to rush things.”It already happened once that he returned to training and had a setback in his first session. They don’t want to risk another month out for the sake of a week.”When will Sergio Ramos make his PSG debut?Pochettino: “I don’t have any details on when he will be available. We hope he will be available soon.”🤷‍♂️ pic.twitter.com/IfNE4RGyVZ— Goal (@goal) September 18, 2021 Even though it is taking ages for Ramos to finally take on the grass of football grounds across France and Europe, Pochettino and PSG seem cool about the former Real Madrid captain’s situation – they don’t want to force him back too soon and put Ramos under pressure. No doubt everyone involved hopes it will happen soon but – when it happens it will happen is how the club is looking at it. The player himself is surely keen to put a difficult year behind him and finally get back out on the pitch.
