Talanta showed the difference in class earlier on in the game as they displayed intricate passing and dominanted possession with KEFWA Free Agents struggling to string passes in the game with the lack of chemistry clearly visible.The KEFWA resilience was finally broken in the 33rd minute when former Posta Rangers midfielder Gerson Likono hustled the ball off the KEFWA defense line and played Anthony Gicho through on goal to tap home from close range. KEFWA shot themselves on the foot again two minutes later when Vincent Otieno intercepted a pass when the Free Agents were trying to play the ball from the back and took matters into his hands as he unleashed a stinging shot that found the back of the net.With the halves being 60 minutes each to hand all players enough playing time, Talanta put the game beyond KEFWA as Otieno bagged his brace with a rifle from outside the box that bounced just before the keeper could get a hand on the ball as the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) newbies went into the half time break leading 3-0.

KEFWA rolled out their big guns in the second half as Michael Kibwage, John Kuol and Duncan Otieno headlined the players that were introduced in the second half.KEFWA upped the ante in the second half as they gave a better account of themselves but could not dictate play in Talanta’s half with the FKFPL newbies throwing away a number of chances.Talanta grabbed the fourth goal in the 38th minute of the second half from a well worked corner to the near post that was nodded in by Brian Yakhama.
