Bandari have become the first club to pump three goals past the Bidco United goalkeeper in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League after former narrowly beat the latter 3-2 at the Thika Stadium on Friday to extend their unbeaten run in the competition. The coastal side who opened the season with a 3-0 win over Mathare United were however forced to slump back to their area to defend after the hosts scored the second goal with five matches left on the clock. Bandari knocked on the Bidco severally door in the opening minutes of the game and would take the lead in the 12th minute when Felly Mulumba rose high to head in a corner kick delivered by William Wadri.##NAJAVA_MECA_5902527##Two minutes later, Darius Msagha would have doubled the advantage after making a witty run in the box only to make a blind pass to Wadri, while he had option of firing to the exposed Edwin Mukolwe.The goal rooted Anthony Akhulia off his seat, barking instructions to his charges in a bid to stage a comeback and improve their display having sat deep for the better part of the first quarter of the game.Their quest paid off in the 23rd minute when Jacob Onyango, a unusual goal scorer headed home David Kalama’s freekick after Nelson Chieta was brought down on the right wing.Umaru Kasumba would have thrown Bandari ahead again in the 28th minute after Wadri laid the ball on his path but the Ugandan forward tapped the ball wide with the goalkeeper to beat.However, Wadri ensured that Bandari broke to the break while on the lead when he headed Siraj Mohamed’s well executed freekick to the top corner.Before restart, Andre Casa Mbungo introduced his revered winger Abdallah Hassan for Msagha in a bid to ignite the left wing to match the opposite one that was flourishing in the first half courtesy of the Benjamin Mosha’s runs.Mukolwe was called into action just a minute into the half, stretching fully to palm a dangerous ball floated in by Rodgers Aloro after Kalama fouled Mosha.Akhulia made a double change in the 63rd minute bringing in Stephen Waruru and Zachary Gathu for Alex Sunga and Collins Neto while Mbungo made his second six minutes later resting Kasumba for Johana Mwita.It took the latter three minutes to open his goal account in the season poking the ball home from a goal mouth melee that ensued after the defence failed to clear Abdallah’s cross.Two minutes after conceding the third goal, Akhulia threw in Lameck Oloo and Batts Awita for Chieta and Onyango while Bandari’s Whyvonne Isuza paved way for Collins Agade minutes later.The duel proved far from over when David Orem scored Bidco’s second goal in the 85th minute, tapping in a rebound after Joseph Okoth had blocked an initial shot on his way.
