Nairobi City Stars made easy work of Kenya Police FC beating them 2-0 in an FKFPL match played at Kasarani Annex. This was the first meeting between the two teams in the top flight and City Stars had the better of it.Goals from Timothy Babu Ouma and Ezekiel Odera gifted City Stars all the three points and ensured that Simba wa Nairobi bounced back to winning ways after a disappointing season opening loss to Sofapaka at Wundanyi.Police had the first attempt at goal in the second minute through Miheso following a freekick just outside the area after Clinton Kinanga was brought down but the former Gor Mahia man struck the post.

Police seemed more comfortable on the ball in the opening minutes but City Stars grew gradually into it before assuming total dominance. City Stars opened the scoring in the 18th minute after Timothy Babu Ouma converted from a Davis Agesa pass.Agesa was unplayable on the right in the first half, causing Faustine Ojiambo trouble on that channel.Makwata could have drawn Police level from Miheso’s cross from the corner but his header went just inches wide into the side net.Ezekiel Odera doubled City Stars lead in the 36th minute after being set up by Nicholas Kipkirui, with Agesa being involved yet again in the build up.In firm control of the game, City Stars held on the lead to the half time break with the advantage. On resumption, Bobby Ogolla effected a double change, bringing in Charles Ouma and Cornelius Lusaka for Alvin Mangeni and Aroro Okiki while Nicholas Muyoti brought in Rodgers Okumu for Odera.Muyoti was not going to seal his team, opting to add fire power to his side with the introduction of Okumu. The speedy forward wasted no time in settling in as he terrified Ojiambo on the flanks, just like Agesa had done. The substitute could have made it three after a cheeky ball from Kipkirui but Reuben Juma thwarted his chipped effort. Police put up a spirited fight in the second half but it was not enough as damage had been done in the first period.
