A rare love story appeared recently. Well, love story it is, but maybe a bit more bizarre for the average man. It’s about two people falling in love, then violently fighting, in fact so much that the court had to intervene, then getting back together, and getting married, having kids….and now one of them has to go to prison, by court order. They started arguing in the car, and Hernandez attacked her and hit her in the ribs, back, right arm, jaw, and upper lip and Amelia also attacked him. They were both charged and convicted of domestic violence by the Spanish court (Hernandez was playing for Atletico at the time). Neither made a complaint against the other, but both were charged by Spain’s public prosecutor. The first sentence was a 31 days of community service, the second one, not to see each other for six months. In fact, they got married in the USA in 2018 and after they got home from their honeymoon, Hernandez was arrested at the airport in Madrid. Amelia reportedly escaped arrest at the time after she proved she had not been informed about the restraining order. The couple were married, even had a son, but the court was relentless, So, the 2018 World Cup winner was sentenced to six months in prison, a sentence he had appealed. It was the rejection of this appeal, on the grounds that he was a repeat offender, that led to this summons before a court in Madrid few days ago. The “ten-day period to voluntarily enter prison” now runs from Monday and expires “on October 28,” the statement added. t is understood the footballer has launched an appeal against the Madrid court decision which has yet to be ruled on. The appeal will be considered by judges at Madrid’s Audiencia Provincial Court.But that’s not all. The end is even more bizarre – in 2019, when he was sentenced to prison, the couple got separated.
