Young Wasambo eager to follow in sibling’s footsteps

Budding Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Isaac Wasambo is looking to emulate his elder brother and former national U23 player Vincent Wasambo having earned his first league start in round one of the season against Posta Rangers.Isaac who made his top flight debut in the final match of last season against Sofapaka had a solid start in the campaign, partnering with Patillah Omotto in their 1-0 win over Rangers.Vincent has made himself a name in the Kenyan league as he has featured for Kariobangi Sharks, KCB and recently signed for Rangers. I didn’t have much pressure ahead of my top flight debut as he had prepared me physiologically and had told me what to expect. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t face him on the opening day but hopefully we will in the second leg,” he said.Besides achieving his dream on the pitch, Isaac is hoping that he will make his parents proud being the only sibling to Vincent.
