Kenya’s John Avire previously turned out for Aswan. The Burundian international returns to the Rwandese heavyweights for a second spell. He turned out for the team between 2011 and 2015 before he made a much-publicized move to Gor Mahia in 2015. Karim is best remembered for his spell with Gor Mahia. The marauding right-back played for Gor between 2015 and 2018 but it is the unbeaten 2015 season that fans saw his best, he formed a back four that did not lose any game all season and also racked in many assists, he set most of Michael Olunga’s goals.CONGRATULATIONS KARIM NIZIGIYIMANA – FOYA 2015 DEFENDER OF THE YEAR #Sirkal #FOYA2015 pic.twitter.com/0iWttsS5QK— GOR MAHIA FC (@OfficialGMFC) December 9, 2015 He returned to the Kenyan league in 2019 when he signed for Wazito FC but his second spell was largely underwhelming.
