The strangest things happen in big cities, both good and bad. And in the case of Paris Saint-Germain player Ander Herrera – both bad and good at the same time on Tuesday night. The footballer was robbed of 200 Euros (around Ksh25,000) by a transvestite prostitute. Thankfully – nobody was harmed.The 32-year-old former Manchester United star was waiting at a red light on his way home when the incident took place in an area of West Paris well-known for prostitution and crime.Friday, 22.00: (1.33) PSG (5.70) Lille (10.0)French newspaper Le Point reported that a prostitute entered the car of the PSG player and took his wallet and phone which were in the passenger compartment.It would have been an unpleasant incident had it finished there. But it turned even more bizarre. The prostitute had something resembling a weapon in his hands, so Herrera offered to drive the offender for 20 minutes in exchange for his own phone. So it happened.So, in the end, the footballer gave the prostitute a ride and 200 Euros, and the prostitute was kind enough to return the phone and leave the car peacefully. Now, the Spaniard is asking for the offender to face the law. Angel Di Maria even took off during a game after finding out there had been a ‘violent burglary’ at his family home earlier this year.The club’s sporting director Leonardo was seen on his phone during the second half of PSG’s game against Nantes, and after a brief discussion with manager Mauricio Pochettino, Di Maria was substituted so he could go home and be with his family who suffered a shock.Thankfully, Herrera’s incident wasn’t so serious, but it just goes to show you that anything can happen in such a big city.
