The Butterfield Bermuda Championship returns to Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, for the third consecutive year on the PGA Tour schedule this week. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1970. Roger Rulewich completed a renovation of the course a little more than a decade ago.
Despite Port Royal playing as the shortest course on Tour at 6,828 yards, wild weather alongside the Atlantic coast rocked the first round of competition, with nasty wind and sideways rain ballooning the scores.
