New Vihiga Queens signings impress ahead of CAFWCL

Ahead of their appearance in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League set to kick off on 12 November in Cairo, Egypt, Vihiga Queens have bolstered their squad with six players.On Thursday, the Charles Okere-led side played their first friendly match against Zetech Sparks, winning 6-0.Assistant coach Boniface Nyamunyamuh says the technical bench is impressed by the performance of the side and are looking to solidify the squad further with a friendly match on Saturday 30 October where they will be looking to help the newbies gel with the rest of the squad.”Against Zetech, the players performed as expected. It was a test of the players’ endurance and fitness levels and they are in a good place. Technically, we are also ready.
