Kenya Police FC will be seeking to grab a consecutive win this season when they play KCB at Utalii Grounds later today in a round-five encounter. Both Police and KCB registered their first wins of the season last week; beating Nzoia Sugar 3-1 and Sofapaka 2-1 respectively.Previously, KCB had drawn twice and lost once in the current campaign while Police lost in both their first two matches against Kakamega Homeboyz and Nairobi City Stars. While the Bobby Ogolla-coached Police FC will be hoping that they can replicate their exploits in the National Super League last season that culminated in their promotion through the playoff, KCB will be hoping that they can revert to their form last season that saw them finish second on the log. This will be a historic meeting between the two teams, being their first ever in the top tier.Police FC’s tactician is looking forward to building on their first win of the season, noting that it was a great motivation to the team ahead of the KCB clash.”The boys are okay and as always we have prepared ourselves well for the match. That win gave us morale and showed us that we can do it. There is a huge task ahead of us in the league but the fact that we won showed us that it is possible,” Ogolla said.Touch base…!!!This was so humiliating by Captain Soita. ‘Ndovu’ mwenyewe.@NPSOfficial_KE @Officialfkfpl @Hassanjumaa @MelodySinzore1 @XMmbwanga pic.twitter.com/RUr2EFEiGY— KENYA POLICE FC (@kenyapolicefc) October 23, 2021 The former Kenyan international understands the intensity of Premier League games, adding that he is an advocate of respecting the opponent but still not fearing them and the same will apply against KCB.”I always advocate that we respect every team but still tell my players to have confidence and give their all. The most important thing is how you approach a game, and that is something I focused on even as a player. The only easy game is the one that you have already won,” he added.KCB will also be hoping to build on that win against Sofapaka with a win in this match. However, they will be without the services of midfielder Brian Ochieng’ who was injured against AFC Leopards in their second match of the season.Nevertheless, they will be reveling in having their new signings off the mark as both scorers in the win against Sofapaka, Robinson Kamura, and James Mazembe, were off-season acquisitions.Kenya Police Fc’s Bonphas Munyasi in training action on Tuesday October 26th 2021 at Kasarani National Stadium prior to their weekend fixture against KCB.#SamwelOgor#SamwelOgorSports pic.twitter.com/UDqBIIKRHk— Samwel Ogor™ (@SamwelOgor) October 26, 2021 Police will be boasting of an experienced side, with Duncan Otieno and Musa Mohammed having joined Clifton Miheso and John Mark Makwatta at the team, with Musa being handed the captaincy at the team. The match kicks off at 3 PM.
