Allegri angry at Juve players, Capelo: ’I told him not to come back’

When Massimiliano Allegri took over Juventus for the second time this season, there was hardly any Juve fan out there who had any complaints. After all, in his first stint with The Old Lady, the Italian tactician won five consecutive Serie A titles and had a winning ratio of over 70%, both Juventus records. He also played in a Champions League final in 2015, and while he left in 2019 since he was unable to win the competition, all was forgotten after fourth place and no title under Andrea Pirlo in the 2020/21 season. But, the season has not started as planned, and after just 11 matches, Juve under Allegri already has 4 defeats, just two less than under Pirlo for the whole season! They brought the coach who wins titles. Five months later, he says there is no chance to win the titleThe Italian tactician has lost his cool a couple of times already and was seen swearing and yelling, but after his latest defeat against Hellas Verona, he is reportedly very unhappy with six of his players. Allegri sent his squad into training retreat until Saturday, when they play against Fiorentina and then Zenit a few days earllier, in the Champions League. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Allegri confronted his players after another defeat but is mostly disappointed by six of his players: Adrien Rabiot, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, Alvaro Morata, Moise Kean, and Arthur. The coach believes that the team has an athletic problem and wants to spend more time with his players to help them regain their best fitness and boost their self-confidence. And while Juve managed to secure their own goal with a couple of clean sheets, the biggest problem is upfront, where nobody is anywhere near Cristiano Ronaldo, and goals are missing from both strikers and midfielders. (1.47) JUVENTUS (4.50) ZENIT (8.00)Morata has only scored three goals, just one more than Kean, and he was the one who wanted them to stay at the club. Allegri is also not happy with the former Everton striker’s attitude and the same goes for Kulusevski, who is mostly been on the bench since the start of the season. Rabiot and Bentancur are not performing in midfield as Allegri thinks they should and Arthur just came back from injury but was guilty of Verona’s goal. Patrice Evra on the reasons for Ronaldo’s departure from Turin: Cristiano felt like a scapegoat at JuventusAnd former Juventus coach and Italian great Fabio Capello thinks that Allegri made a wrong move by coming back to Juve. “I told him that he would have become the scapegoat for all problems. I told him not to return. Juventus have a winning DNA, but right now, you can’t see it. Players are not doing what they should. Everybody thinks it’s the coach’s fault, but it’s not like this, it’s not easy to turn the situation around” Capello told Radio Anch’io.
