Kenyan international Masud Juma missed Difaâ Hassani d’el-Jadida’s 4-2 thumping at the hands of Ittihad Riadi Tanger in the Moroccan Botola Pro.Masud was recently recalled into the Harambee Stars provisional squad after missing the back to back 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the hands of Mali.The former Kariobangi Sharks forward suffered an injury that ruled him out of the previous qualifiers but returned to fitness, featuring in a number of games for Difaâ.

The club failed to provide an update on why the 25-year-old missed the clash just seven days to the qualifier against Uganda.Difaâ had a nightmare start to the game as they conceded seconds after kick-off as Ahmed Hamoudane broke the deadlock with the referee’s whistle still echoing in the stadium. The poor start went for bad to worse for Difaâ as Mouhcine Rabja was sent for an early shower after being shown a straight red card in the sixth minute.Axel Meye doubled Tanger’s lead at the stroke of the half-hour mark as they finally made their man advantage count in the game.Tanger went into the halftime break with a healthy 3-0 advantage after Tawfieq Ijrouten netted two minutes to the break with Difaâ losing grip of the game.

Meye completed his brace in the 51st minute from the penalty spot with Difaâ ringing the chances to avert a whitewash. Abdelfettah Hadraf pulled one back for Difaâ six minutes from after the hour mark and he went on to bag his brace eight minutes later from the 12-yard spot.Difaâ could however not salvage something from the game as Tanger held on for the 4-2 victory.
