In his first season with Gor he was used sparingly by the club majorly featuring as a sub.Ochieng’s return will be a much-needed boost for Gor Mahia who have begun the season strongly. They remain unbeaten in the league this season with four wins and one draw. In the CAF Confederation Cup, they are a qualification round away from making it to the Confederation Cup group stage.Gor Mahia have been paired with Congo side, AS Otoho d’Oyo in the final playoff round. The first leg will be played in Congo with the second leg being staged in Nairobi. Coach Mark Harrison will be hoping to guide the record Kenyan champions to the group stage of the competition by overcoming the Congolese side.
