Andy to Salah: ‘You need to lose more body fat’

Hold on, do you think Ronaldo is a gym/diet freak? Hold your thought, we have another one, and it’s one of the best there is – African perl Mohamed Salah. Liverpool forward is without a doubt the best footballer in the world at the moment, with astonishing 15 goals in just 14 games so. He is also the second African to score more than 100 Premier League goals, and also the first player in Liverpool’s history to score in 10 games in succession, with Burnley, Brighton, and Atletico Madrid the only teams to prevent him finding the back of the net. And one of the reasons he is doing so well is certainly the way he eats and works in the gym, just like other greats: Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski.Robertson making fun of Salah on social media (©Printscreen)One of his most famous goal celebrations is when he takes his shirt off and shows his shredded abs, but it doesn’t mean everybody likes it. His Liverpool teammate Andy Robertson loves Salah (and his goals) but doesn’t really share his enthusiasm with diets and gym time, so he was joking with the Egyptian. Robertson this week poked fun at Salah after the Egyptian posted a photo of himself in the pool on his Instagram story. Salah tagged Robertson in the post along with the sweating emoji, which showed the attacker wearing only swimming trunks. But the Scotland star was less than impressed despite Salah’s stunning physique, joking that he still has a ‘Bit of body fat to lose yet’.Andy Robertson on Mo Salah:”I hope that I can continue to play with him. I love playing with Mo and all the lads around me and you don’t want to see anyone leave. He said he’d be happy to stay here and that’s up to him and the club to come to an agreement.” #awlive [sky] pic.twitter.com/GJhAuYjTFJ— Anfield Watch (@AnfieldWatch) October 29, 2021 The Liverpool star has previously highlighted the importance of nutrition to his transformation, starting each day with some parathas and a glass of milk.„Nutrition is so important, it’s part of the game. It has helped with my recovery, allowed me to sleep better and helped my body adapt quickly. My nutritionist says that because I don’t have any fat on my body, I can eat what I want. I also don’t drink so it’s fine. When I go back to Egypt, I call my friend from the airport to buy kushari for us to eat in the car. I pull my hoodie over my head, jump into the car and then I’m eating it straight away” Salah previously told CNN. Kushari is an Egyptian specialty that contains rice, macaroni, lentils, spiced tomatoes, chickpeas, and onions.
