Back in April, the Gunners were one of six Premier League teams who signed up for the failed European Super League. Arsenal director Josh Kroenke admitted that the club management were wrong for entering the project without consulting the supporters.As most football fans across Europe – Arsenal’s also protested, outside the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners were eventually one of the first teams to pull back from the idea.Ahead of their clash with Watford on Sunday, Kroenke spoke in an interview by Sky Sports. it would be worse for there to be a Super League without the club.When asked if it was the lowest point in the relationship between club and supporters, the American gave a straight answer.’I wouldn’t disagree with you. I’ll say it that way. We apologised, and now we move forward.’And some of the dialogue that I’ve had with some of the support groups has been as clear as crystal and I couldn’t be more excited to be communicating with them on the level that I am because I understand who they are and now they’re understanding who I am.’And I think the more we understand each other it’s exciting because the only thing that we want is for Arsenal Football Club to be great.’On April 23, a group of over 3,000 Arsenal fans gathered outside the stadium protesting against owner Stan Kroenke.In response to this, Josh Kroenke stated that the owners had no intention of selling their stake.Deal already done? We made a mistake, and we apologise for it.’
